The Traffic Coordinator/Front Desk Assistant must possess outstanding organizational and time management skills, the ability to multitask, balance priorities and take direction. The successful candidate must be able to meet strict deadlines while working independently in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a high degree of flexibility and the skills to work closely with the sales, programming and finance departments.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare daily program logs for one or more radio stations
- Schedule radio commercials and process commercial contracts daily
- Produce and reconcile weekly broadcast logs
- Answer main phone lines, answer general questions for listeners, and direct callers to appropriate sources
- Manage prize distribution
- Represent the company to guests in a professional manner
- Interact daily with members of the sales team for needed copy
- Ensure all programs, commercial, and public affairs materials are aired in accordance with FCC regulations and Riverbend Media Group policies
- Assist with accounts receivable and invoicing as requested by the billing department
- Assist with other projects as needed
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Working knowledge of Marketron and vCreative is preferred but not required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Must be extremely organized, detail oriented, and able to prioritize tasks
- Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with clients
- Ability to multi-task and handle pressure and deadlines
- Knowledge of FCC rules and regulations preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Ability to work independently and efficiently without immediate supervision
- Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- Knowledge of standard office equipment and Microsoft Office suite of programs
EDUCATION AND LICENSING REQUIREMENTS
- High school diploma
- A valid driver’s license
THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION. TYPICAL HOURS OF WORK ARE MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY, 8 AM TO 5 PM.
