We are excited to be having a fundraiser on the 17th of September. Mastercraft Pool and Spa is sponsoring Amberley Snyder to come as our guest speaker. Amberley is a local celebrity in the rodeo community. She has been hitting the rodeo trail hard this year and has competed in several of our local rodeos, such as War Bonnet, Georgetown and Preston Night. Her commitment to the sport and to her horses is inspiring. After losing the use of her legs, she had lost all hope in her future, but after a huge amount of willpower and determination, she is living proof that anything is possible. As she straps herself to her horse to run barrels, her horse is her legs and the determination she has is also passed to her horse to make them an unstoppable team. She will share how she found hope through horses which is what Bridle Up Hope emulates in their program. 

Bridle Up Hope is a non profit that inspires their participants to learn life skills through horses and equestrian training.  There are 3 pillars to the program. First being the curriculum piece where we teach life skills out of the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. The second being horsemanship, where the girl/woman takes the lesson that they've just learned, and through the activity with the horse and riding, those lessons are supported. Then the thirst is service, service at the barn and service in the community. These three pillars are what make up the program for girls and women in Pocatello and the neighboring communities. 

Horses change lives and are amazing teachers. They teach confidence, courage, patience, clear communication, and so much more. They are unique animals in that they can feel our intent and they can sync their heart beat with ours. Imagine how that might help humans who are dealing with broken hearts because of trauma, neglect, abandonment and the like.
